In speech at the ceremony, Mr. Ho Van Muoi, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee, emphasized that the North-South Expressway (Western route), Gia Nghia – Chon Thanh section, is a key national transportation project with special strategic significance for socio-economic development and national defense-security—not only for Dak Nong and Binh Phuoc provinces, but also for the entire Central Highlands and Southeastern region. This expressway will connect to major economic and political hubs in the region, creating new development space and momentum, and unlocking land use potential, tourism, processing industries, and mineral exploitation.

“In the context that transport infrastructure in Dak Nong and the region still faces many limitations, implementing this expressway will open a new chapter, serving as a powerful driving force for Dak Nong to make breakthroughs and integrate more deeply into the country’s overall development process,” the Chairman expressed his hope.

The expressway will not only reduce travel time and transportation costs, and enhance trade connectivity, but also create new development space in the region, contributing to the effective exploitation of Dak Nong’s economic and tourism potential.
