 Both sides agreed to further deepen cooperation across fields like politics-diplomacy, economy-trade, agriculture, science and technoligy, education, culture, sports and tourism, security-defense, people-to-people exchanges, climate change, green growth, digital transformation, energy transition, and innovation among others.

The two leaders agreed soon convene the 3h session of the Viet Nam-Brazil Joint Committee for economic and trade cooperation to work out measures to improve the effectiveness of bilateral economic, trade and investment ties.

Prime Minister Pham suggested Brazil recognize Viet Nam's market economy status, and support early commencement of negotiations on a trade deal between Viet Nam and the Southern Common Market (MERCOSUR) in a bid to raise the two-way trade to US$10 billion in 2025 and US$15 billion in 2030.

Given the complicated and fast-changing developments around the world, the two leaders noted with pleasure that the two countries have shared the same views on many regional and international issues, underscoring the importance of international solidarity an multilateralism for resolution of shared challenges.

They agreed to continue consultation, mutual coordination and support at international organizations and multilateral forums, South-South cooperationn with a view to safeguarding the interests and heightening global positions of each country, and contributing positively to peace, security, stability, cooperation and development in the two regions and the world as well.

After their talks, Prime Minister Pham and President Silva witnessed the signing ceremony of several cooperative documents on diplomacy, defense, education and agriculture between the two countries.

They also co-chaired a press briefing to brief about the outcomes of their talks./.
